About
I started as a steel fixer. I've fixed, poured, shuttered and supervised reinforced concrete on some of the most heavily scrutinised infrastructure programmes in the UK, including nuclear new build, railway, gas and electricity transmission.
I know what a drawing looks like when it meets real ground, real weather and a real gang. I also know what it costs when nobody catches the problem early.
I now work client-side and contractor-side as an independent consultant, bringing that site experience to teams who need someone who has actually done the work.
What I do
Site supervision and client-side representation
Your eyes on site for civils and reinforced concrete works, holding the contractor to the drawings, the specification and the programme.
Temporary works supervision
Acting as Temporary Works Supervisor in line with BS 5975. Reviewing proposals, keeping the register straight and checking what has actually been erected against what was designed.
Quality assurance and inspection
ITP records, hold points and witness inspections, with paperwork that still stands up months later when someone asks how that pour was signed off.
Workpack and site documentation
Method statements, inspection records and the documents your team needs before the work starts rather than after.
